Job Summary
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is looking to hire an experienced Procurement Professional to lead the Procurement Section in the capacity of Section Chief of the Procurement Section of the Corporate Services and Facilities Department. This position is based in the IMF headquarters located in Washington, DC.
Under the general supervision of the Division Chief (DC) and Deputy Division Chief (DDC) of the General Services Division (DG) of CSF, the Section Chief shall be responsible for the provision of strategic leadership of the procurement process, supervision and administration of assigned areas including staff development and training, succession planning, prioritizing, and assigning work.
II. Main Duties and Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and mentoring of the procurement professionals and ensuring timely delivery of operational direction and performance feedback.
The Section Chief shall enable the effective and efficient performance of the Procurement Section by setting the tone for collaborative integration with other Fund Departments thereby enabling early procurement involvement to facilitate planning and portfolio management.
The Section Chief shall play a substantive role in the planning and implementation of policies, determining priorities, establishing objectives, and directing and managing the work of the Section including responsibility for the following:

Minimum Qualifications
For Grade A13, educational development, typically acquired through the completion of an advanced university degree in business administration, law, materials management, logistics/distribution management, procurement/contract management, or a related field, plus a minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience; or a bachelor’s degree, supplemented by a minimum of fourteen years of relevant professional work experience, is required.
Work Experience
Experience in procurement, contract management, contract administration or logistics and supply chain management administration is required including work experience in Category Management, Commodity Procurement, and Supplier Performance Management. Additionally, technical expertise and competences are required in the following areas:

For this position, fluency in English language is required.
Assessment
Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which will be followed by competency-based interview.
