About the job

Based in Mons, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Transformation.

NATO Digital Workplace Centre (NDWC) is accountable to the General Manager for the consolidated Agency consultation and collaboration services that comprise the current Digital Workplace, covering the operational NATO services, across all content classifications and security domains, for desktop computing, mail, instant messaging, video teleconference (VTC), content services platforms, telephony, printing and mobility services. Responsibilities also cover the organisation and support of all digital events, meetings and large-scale conferences for both the Agency and NATO stakeholders. Furthermore, the NDWC also has the responsibility for driving the future roadmaps of these services across the NATO Enterprise to enable a NATO Digital Workplace through new services.

The Workstream Collaboration Services (WCS) provide a persistent, shared conversational workspace that helps NATO staff initiate, organize and complete their daily work. Solutions offered to NATO staff members integrate direct and group messages, alerts, notifications, activity streams, files, tasks, and real-time audio and video into searchable groups or channels. The team supports both ad-hoc collaboration (Instant Messaging, chat, real-time audio/video, informal e-mail, etc.) as well as the more team-focused collaboration needs (file repositories, search, group community collaboration, etc.).

You will be responsible to lead and coordinate Voice and VTC engineers and technicians in delivering Voice and VTC services, ensuring proactive maintenance of the systems managed, defining and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and implementing Voice and VTC related projects.  You will also lead and coordinate systems management, conduct evaluation of incident reports and trend analysis of the assigned systems and services and assist in development, maintenance and review of technical documentation.

The majority of the work is carried out in the office, in order to the facilitate collaboration within the  team, but it also allows for some remote work.

About you

We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Collaboration Services – Voice and VTC Engineer with ideally a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of post-related experience.

A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.

You should also have:

·       At least 3 years’ experience and in-depth knowledge of VoIP Networks

·      At least 3 years’ proven track record of collaboration with vendors, resident engineering and operations staff, to achieve system performance objectives by utilizing vendor’s toolkits for collection of maintenance data. With the ability to analyse them for both service improvement and troubleshooting purposes

·       Very good knowledge of ICT Systems Engineering and the associated aspects of design, operations, administration and maintenance

·       Practical experience in ICT systems and services delivery. To include, but not limited to; high and low level designs, technical and functional solution evaluation, testing, implementation, transition, continuous services improvement, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) based delivery

·       Experience leading and managing technical teams

 

Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
