The Knowledge Sharing Senior Analyst will be responsible for designing and leading a wide range of knowledge-sharing programs and activities in America’s Region and Globally aimed at connecting and engaging Alliance researchers and scientists, helping them to position their science externally. The expected impact of the position is greater efficiency, more effectiveness, and more innovation in Alliance research through improved circulation and co-development of knowledge.
The position will be based in the operations center of the Americas, located in the Campus of Palmira, Colombia. And it will offer hybrid working conditions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Alliance Science Seminar series (sourcing approximately one seminar a week, promotion, archiving) under supervision, together with Senior Analysts in other regions.
- Lead workshop and meeting design and facilitate said meetings for Alliance research staff in America’s Region and Globally (as time permits).
- Identify new knowledge or lessons emerging from activities in America’s Region and Globally, and work with the KS team to document, share, and build on these in appropriate, low-effort ways.
- Develop online platforms, spaces, and practices that connect people, foster conversations, and leverage knowledge across the whole Alliance, including nurturing Communities of Practice.
- Acts as primary liaison in America’s Region and Globally between local researchers, the KS team, communications, and IT staff.
- Works with Senior Analysts in other regions, to maintain and improve the Tools and Innovations knowledge-sharing page of the Alliance Internet.
- Execute tasks with innovation and creativity to ensure that the solutions are aligned with business requirements and the concerns are addressed under organizational policies.
- Select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and patterns to satisfy project requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, and product managers, to understand and improve software requirements.

Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, marketing, development, or related fields.
- Specialization or master’s degree in development studies, organizational communication, knowledge sharing, systems thinking, marketing, or similar disciplines (desirable).
- Minimum five years of proven practical experience in a role with a demonstrably significant knowledge-sharing component.
- Bilingual or advanced English communication skills (both written and spoken).
- Experience in organizing and moderating seminars.
- Experience in fostering Communities of Practice.
- High competencies with Microsoft Suite, especially Teams and SharePoint, and common web conferencing platforms.
- Extensive experience in organizing workshops and preparing summaries.

This is a nationally recruited position placed at a BG07, on a scale of 14 levels, with level 14 being the highest.
This is a Colombian national search and will be managed through a fixed-term contract of a one (1) year period, subject to a probation period according to the local legislation, and is renewable depending on performance and availability of resources.
