Reporting to the Senior Associate, Total Rewards, The Senior Analyst, Total Rewards, is responsible for administering all compensation actions using established procedures and guidelines, including compensation and benefits data reporting and maintenance.
The Senior Analyst will act as the first point of contact for employees and Total Rewards staff, he/she will provide support to queries regarding, but not limited to administration of compensation, benefits, compensation and benefits policies, procedures and Systems.
The Senior Analyst position resolves requests per the established procedures and is responsible for providing accurate responses and timely turnaround for all queries. In addition, the Senior Analyst ensures that all activities are performed in strict compliance with Alliance procedures, employment rules, manuals, policies and legal compliance.
Key duties & responsibilities
- Responsible for the administration of compensation and benefits (C&B) actions using the official policies and procedures.
- Performs data actions and other associated transactions such as job description, promotions, reclassification, job offers, positions costing etc., as required.
- Coordinate closely with HR Analysts, PMO’s and Line Managers to ensure employees’ data impacting compensation is efficiently and accurately captured, maintained and implemented.
- Ensures that the transactions, exemptions and other supporting documentation comply with internal procedures and policies regarding the master data updates to the system before processing.
- Performs data quality checks regularly to maintain data quality and integrity in the Total Rewards database.
- Identifies sensitive queries, emergencies or potential risk cases and addresses as at the appropriate level.
- Coordinates internally per defined procedures and uses compensation and benefits (C&B) knowledge to respond with resolutions, quickly and accurately.
- Ensures the employee is informed of the progress of the query until issue is resolved
- Participates in the design and implementation of the solutions related to customer satisfaction and to meet the set targets.
- Identifies and participates in continuous improvement initiatives which include potential automation projects.
- Ensures compliance with the Data Privacy & Protection Guidelines and relevant legislation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, qualification in human resources, Compensation & Benefits, administration or a related area. enrolled in postgraduate studies
- Demonstrated extended experience in HR Operations in multicultural organizations.
- Proven experience in delivering highly responsive services in complex workplaces with high quality levels.
- Proven analytical and detail orientated skills.
- A self-starter, able to work remotely and who can deal with ambiguity.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills and ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels in a respectful, multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary organization.
- Demonstrated ability to be responsive and problem-solve to deliver excellent service.
- Fluency in writing and speaking in English.
Terms of employment
This position is a nationally recruited position that based in Nairobi Kenya (remote work) . The initial contract will be for one year subject to a probation period of three (3) months and is renewable depending on performance and availability of resources.
This position is graded at BG07 level, in a scale of BG01 to BG14 (BG14 being the highest level according to the Alliance job classification framework policy).
