Based in Brussels, Belgium, you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. The job is within the Finance department and more specific in Accounting Services. Your primary role will be the transactional first level of controls on invoices from vendors (Accounts Payable AP), invoices to customers (Accounts Receivable AR) or expense reports from internal employees. You will be responsible for assisting in the development of, and implementing policies and procedures (e.g. Standard Operating Procedures, Service Procedures) which relate to all Transactional Sub-ledger entries) and statutory accounting related matters within the Agency. In addition, you will coordinate the NCI Agency’s sub-ledger AP & AR activities including giving advice on policy and procedures to staff both inside and outside the Section. About you
We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Senior Assistant (Accounts Payable) with ideally higher vocational training in a relevant discipline (such as finance/accounts payables, accounts receivable or accounting services) with 2 years post-related experience, or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience. A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.
Current experience in the use of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and in particular in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable modules is required.
Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
