POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Assistant is a general HR support role that ensures consistent quality in provision of efficient and effective services in one or few assigned areas (e.g. recruitment, contract workforce management, performance management, learning and development)
The Senior Assistant will work with the HR team, People Managers, and Staff to implement global HR initiatives in learning and development, or other priority areas as assigned. The postholder will also provide ad hoc support to team members in executing recruitments where necessary.
PURPOSE
- Provide coordination and implementation support for learning and development or other HR initiatives prioritized by the organization.
- Provide ad hoc support in execution of administrative, recruitment, compensation and benefits, or other activities.
ENGAGEMENT
- Work with the HR team members, Department/Unit Heads, and Staff to ensure efficient implementation of the assigned HR activities.
- Maintain relationship with relevant external vendors, maximize efficiency of their service offerings.
DELIVERY
Maintain reputation for quality and reliability through provision of services consistently and in keeping with policies and principles of the organization.
- Coordinate training programs, workshops, and other learning initiatives, including scheduling, logistics, system management, and communication. Ensure all relevant materials are prepared and shared in a timely manner.
- Design and coordinate collection of post-training evaluations, provide summarized review of the feedback for continuous improvement.
- Collect and compile organizational learning and development needs. Align those needs to the organizational priorities.
- Provide administrative support for other HR initiatives, that may include implementation of HR systems, recruitment activities, reporting, other.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and reports in the assigned area. Provide reports and analysis upon request.
- Provide general administrative support for the HR team where applicable.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or other relevant fields.
- Experience: Preference of 1-2 years of relevant experience in human resources or related services in an organization with staff of widely diverse backgrounds including cultural backgrounds.
- Languages: Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must.
FUNCTIONAL
- High level of client orientation, with proven experience of such in the areas of HR or related.
- Fluency in MS Excel is a must;
- Familiarity with the Enterprise Resources Planning, particularly Agresso is a plus.
- Tech-savvy, able to understand the use of systems with ease.
- Self-starter, able to find solutions to complex issues without the need to escalate further.
- Able to manage time and prioritize effectively when the level of workload is high.
- Strong analytical skills and deductive reasoning.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The Associate, Human Resources role is an X5 grade level in GGGI’s Korea salary scale, please refer to staff regulations for information on the salary scale. The appointment is for 12 months, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and budget availability. GGGI provides 15% of base salary towards retirement plan/long-term savings, 27 days of annual leave, and private health insurance that covers dental and vision.
