Senior Assistant Renewable Energy

 

GGGI provides technical assistance, support, and facilitation to GoI to help achieve green growth. This includes stakeholder coordination, arranging meetings, trainings, workshops, and other forms of collaboration, as well as planning and implementation processes. The Senior Assistant for Renewable Energy will provide operational, administrative support as well as coordination support to implement multiple projects under the GGP under renewable energy theme. Under this theme includes subthemes, among others, renewable energy, green cities, bioenergy, energy efficiency, green building and e-mobility. The Senior Assistant will also support the GGP team in the energy team as well as other country team in general, with information management, desk research, as well as arranging itineraries, filing of documents, documenting of processes, taking meeting notes, and liaison with relevant government partners.

PURPOSE
  • Gather and summarize technical knowledge to help deliver a portfolio of analytical services focused on a coherent evidence-based policy and regulatory reform process to accelerate investments in renewable energy, rural electrification, adoption of competitive renewable energy funding, and financial de-risking instruments.
  • Support desk research in relation to renewable energy project and program development and implementation.
  • Manage and maintain an efficient and complete filing system, database, and documentation related to invoices, activities and events, as well as preparation and filing of minutes of meetings.
  • Support the coordination and liaison with Government counterparts, government task forces, other partner agencies, as well as our pool of experts, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the organization of events, including budget estimations, documentation, calendars.
  • Work as part of GGGI’s operations team and ensure full compliance with GGGI’s regulations, rules and procedures to support budget management, procurement process, and travel logistics for the program development and implementation.
  • Collect monthly reports from output leads and file the reports in the GGGI system.
  • The position will involve domestic travel.
  • Other tasks as required.
ENGAGEMENT
  • Inform Project and Program Managers on status of project and program delivery highlighting issues of resource management and delivery schedule.
  • Maintain good and close relationship and communicate project activities with government task forces, experts, and other GGGI stakeholders
  • Work closely under the supervision of the Program and Project Manager or Senior Officer to provide high quality support to program and project activities.
  • Interact closely with GGP team members to ensure adherence to operating protocols and service delivery
DELIVERY
  • Review project activities to report on status and validate project data is presented in a timely manner to support project management
  • Take responsibility for day-to-day administration activities in the areas of Human Resources, Finance, Procurement, and other operational activities in a timely manner.
  • Organize meetings, documentation, workshops and other events with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and keep updated tools for monitoring projects execution of work plan and tasks, procurement, and amendment process.
  • Support the provision of required inputs for carrying out internal/external audits in compliance with the requirements and standards of GGGI and respective donors.
  • Guide the adequate and efficient use of relevant management and financial modules of GGGI’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System for the Country Program.
  • Be a champion and safeguard of GGGI Rules and Guidelines to apply them to the operational procedure in the Indonesia Office.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, environmental study, policy study, social sciences or commerce disciplines or related fields.
  • Preferred 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Familiarity with working with government agencies in Indonesia.
  • Experience in International Organizations will be an asset.
  • Experience in using ERP, supporting projects and administrations will add value.
  • Fluent in Indonesian and English.
