Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Automation Developer supports a global team responsible for using technology, methodologies and value analysis to improve business processes efficiency and quality. With oversight from the OpEx Director, the post holder will align to the strategy and execute projects that aim at and drive the implementation of the organizational priority of reducing processing time and increased quality results from Shared Services and partnership processes.
This role is responsible for leading by influencing and motivating the change towards agility, ensuring the staff, leaders and project managers, partners and customers, have the necessary resources, capabilities, policies, standards and support. Strong adherence to global policies and procedures is required, including Data Management, InfoSec, Change Management, Release Management, IT Infrastructure and Solutions, People & Culture, Finance and other relevant. Must ensure the internal team development of junior resources to keep up to date on industry and technological trends and tools that enable the organizational agility. Requires a combination of majors in Industrial Engineering, Systems or Computer Engineering, or similar.
Major Responsibilities:
70% – Deliver Integrated Automation (IA) Services
- Enable global team to support customers by providing process optimization and automation to existing and new clients across partnership
- Lead in gathering business requirements especially from senior and executive leaders
- Use structured automation lifecycle along with L6S, Agile/Scrum, DevOps and/or Design Thinking methodologies to deliver inputs and trends for decision making
- Define, maintain and govern automation standards, tools, and best practices based on organizational standards.
- Lead and or participate in new application development projects, identifying and documenting new components and changes to existing processes
- Partner with customers to define and prioritize needs and impact
- Build very complex, highly specialized and new solutions as part of new initiatives and strategies. Develops complex automations that are later maintained by the team developers.
- Actively contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing execution of the governance model, enabling speed and standards that will lead to organizational agility
- Collaborate in L6S process improvement projects and help project owners on methodological process optimization
- Subject matter expert for Shared Services IA projects
- Develop IA talent both internal and external to the team
10% – Support Strategic Direction
- Constant awareness of the automation strategy against Partnership and Shared Services goals
- Map the key stakeholders and partners and maintain the relationships
- Continuously connect with customers at all levels to map needs, feedback and inputs for the services required along with the Director
- Partner with IT to implement technology solutions
- Support the adoption of digital enablement and transformation across various platforms used by partnership clients globally
- Support the adoption of digital enablement and transformation across SS, SCM and partnership clients.
- Help set responsibilities and accountabilities appropriately in roll out of IA projects
20% – Develop Integrated Automation (IA) digital capabilities
- Actively participate with other industry leaders and share best practices on digital transformation and adoption focused on IA
- Continuously learn, research and monitor advancements and best practices in integrated automation, and communicate recommendations based on learnings
- Lead the standardization of processes and procedures for the digital adoption strategy
- Ensure alignment to global processes including IT, Release Management and Change Management
- Support, work with and collaborate with World Vision departments and external service providers to resolve issues, provide solutions, and continuously improve
- Train stakeholders in using the existing technologies/systems and understanding processes in his/her area of expertise
- Develop complex solutions using the digital technology available and liaison for new resources required.
Knowledge/Qualifications for the Role:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in automation applications used in process optimization and digitalization with proven return on investment.
- At least 2-3 years of experience working in a global organization (stakeholders in various time zones) and a multi-cultural/virtual environment.
- Skilled in solution development using Automation software such as but not limited to UiPath, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Adept in Automation performance management indicators and practices.
- Innovative and transformative mindset. Strong process change practices.
- Excellent skills in time management, problem-solving, interpersonal relations, and decision-making.
- Proven experience in effectively communicating with all levels in the organization (verbally and in writing).
- Strong networking skills, internally and externally (benchmarking).
