About the job

Based in The Hague, Netherlands you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Transformation.

NATO Digital Workplace Centre (NDWC) is accountable to the General Manager for the consolidated Agency consultation and collaboration services that comprise the current Digital Workplace, covering the operational NATO services, across all content classifications and security domains, for desktop computing, mail, instant messaging, video teleconference (VTC), content services platforms, telephony, printing and mobility services. Responsibilities also cover the organisation and support of all digital events, meetings and large-scale conferences for both the Agency and NATO stakeholders. Furthermore, the NDWC also has the responsibility for driving the future roadmaps of these services across the NATO Enterprise to enable a NATO Digital Workplace through new services.

The NDW Centre Business Management team, led by the Business Manager, has the mission to assure the NDW Centre operates effectively as a business unit with the Agency. As Senior Business Analyst, reporting directly to the Business Manager, you will provide programme, project and delivery management support services in the planning, tracking and reporting area with a special focus on resource aspects and billable targets that need to be achieved. This includes support to the definition of programmes, projects and services; support in the development, production and maintenance of business cases; time, resource, cost and exception plans, and the use of related software tools (Business Intelligence/ServiceNow). Monitoring, tracking and reporting of project progress and performance are also covered, as is the capability to support programme/project/service meetings, workshops and documentation.  This function involves supporting the NDW Centre Project and Service Delivery Managers but also involves close cooperation with the Finance and Chief Operating Officer (COO) departments.

The majority of the work is carried out in the office, in order to the facilitate collaboration within the Business team, but it also allows for some remote work.

About you

We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Senior Business Analyst with ideally a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of post-related experience.

A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.

You should also have:

  • Experience in the use of advanced computer-based tools in the areas of office automation (MS Office Suite especially MS Excel, MS SharePoint)
  • Familiarity with principles of accounting and finance
  • Knowledge and experience of project management / project planning methods and tools including ServiceNow / MS-Project
  • User experience of Oracle E-Business Suite modules
  • User experience with Business Intelligence Tools

Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.

Extra increments can only be considered for candidates from another Co-Ordinated Organisation.

Selected candidates who are not nationals of the host country and who have not been continuously resident in the host country for at least one year may be eligible for an expatriate allowance. For the purposes of determining continuous residence, NATO considers mainly the work location at the time recruitment started, independent of whether various ties were kept with the home country.
