The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable applicants for the position below at the Institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan:

Position:     Senior Carpenter

Contract:        3-year renewable contract

Location:  Ibadan

Closing Date: 13 June 2024

DUTIES: 

·         Assist in providing new design of furniture.

·         Assist in regular work at the carpentry workshop.

·         Repair/refurbish laboratory, offices and housing furniture as may be required.

·         Assist the carpentry superintendent to supervise staff.

·         Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION:

National diploma in Civil Engineering, Carpentry and Woodwork or any other related field with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

COMPETENCIES:

The ideal candidate must:

• Have wide range of experience in handling carpentry works.
• Have good communication skills.·
