Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Tunisia and the Head of Migration & Development Unit and under direct supervision of the Regular Pathways Project Officer, in close collaboration with other relevant colleagues in IOM Tunisia as well as Country Offices in the Region and beyond, the incumbent will be responsible for providing effective and efficient programmatic support for the successful implementation of the Regular Pathways portfolio and overall to the Migration & Development Unit.
- Collect information on emerging issues and trends relevant to migration data in the country, follow thematic developments at the regional and sub-regional level, and contribute to the drafting of technical documentation and analytical reports.
- Draft internal reports, presentations, talking points, speeches, statements, and briefings as needed in coordination with the direct supervisor and relevant colleagues
- Support colleagues with the identification of relevant migration data sources, existing and pressing data gaps, and needs at the country and programmes level and propose analytical products based on the identified needs.
- Facilitate the mainstreaming of diversity (including gender beyond binary denominations, and vulnerable groups) in relevant phases and aspects of the data management cycle.
- Verify that all data collection, storage, analysis, and dissemination are in line with IOM’s Data Protection Framework.
- Coordinate that accurate and reliable data is collected, stored, and submitted in a timely manner through provision of training, and support to relevant staff tasked with data collection, surveys and assessments and overall data management activities.
- Research, analyze and evaluate new applications related to information systems, to new technologies and processes to manage information and make recommendations for their utilization.
- Develop and deliver clear, data-driven reports with impactful visualizations to effectively communicate project outcomes to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Facilitate timely preparation and generation of information products, including but not limited to, analytical and statistical reports, and other relevant products, to verify their highest possible quality
- Support the effective implementation of project activities; monitor regularly as per agreed timelines.
- Coordinate closely with the M&E Officer to facilitate effective project monitoring and evaluation;
- Identify gaps in data and information relevant to the programme implementation and contribute to address such needs.

EDUCATION
- High school diploma with six years of relevant experience; or,
- University degree in Migration Studies, Demography, Political or Social Science, Statistics, Data Science, Information Management, or related field with four years of relevant professional experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Proven track record of professional experience with data collection and analysis in migration context.
- Specific research experience in the field of population studies, human mobility, and mixed migration is considered an asset.
- Prior work experience with international organizations, nongovernment or government institutions/organization in training and development including but not limited to national statistical and administrative data sources agencies.
- Experience in management and coordination of information flows, data management including collection, storing, processing, and analysing data to generate information products for various audiences.
- Experience in cleaning, analyzing and reporting of data from large and complex information systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Outlook;
- Working knowledge of Data Analysis and Visualization Tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI)
- Attention to detail, ability to organize paperwork in a methodical way;
- Discreet, detail-oriented, patient and willingness to learn new things;
