You have:

  • A University degree with a specialization relevant to sustainability, environmental studies or in accounting, business administration, commerce, finance, public administration, and organizational behavior.
  • Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing and speaking).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing ESG and organizational risk initiatives, preferably in a public organization.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with ESG assessment and corporate ESG management frameworks and advising executive.
  • An in-depth understanding of performance metrics development and strong competencies in quantitative and qualitative research, analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with one or more geographical and thematic areas of interest to IDRC would be considered an asset.

  • Proficient in foresight analysis and environmental scanning of global ESG and emerging trends to identify threats and opportunities.

You are interested in:

  • Leading a community of practice on how IDRC defines, develops, and maintains its strategic commitments and goals aligned with the ESG framework.
  • Being the ESG subject matter expert to advice the Centre and lead ESG specific initiatives.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to implement and operationalize the Centre’s ESG roadmap.
  • Developing and maintaining appropriate metrics to monitor and report on the Centre’s ESG performance.
  • Aligning, connecting and elevating ESG strategies across international business platforms and regions including developing key presentations, tracking, and reporting on strategic commitments and goals, and leading the delivery of sustainability reports and communications to stakeholders.
  • Joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion, and equity.

  • * Hybrid Mode: Have the flexibility to work in hybrid mode (Minimum 3 days out of 10 in the office).
  • This position requires occasional international travel.
