In this full-time permanent role, you’ll work as a part of our Financial Accounting team in Melbourne to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. The Senior Financial Accountant plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children. Whether it’s completing a balance sheet reconciliation or developing a new process improvement you’ll be contributing to our commitment to children in Australia, the Pacific and around the world.
You will make a difference by:
· Supporting the Financial Statement preparation and review for all legal entities to ensure successful completion of regulatory reporting requirements
· Work closely with the Commercial Finance team to ensure end to end finance processes are efficient and effective and roles and responsibilities and deliverables (both ways) are clear, frequently reviewed, and improved
· Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
· Identify and implement finance process improvement initiatives, including opportunities for automation, and ensure finance processes are well documented

· Previous 3 to 4 years’ experience in a Big 4/ mid-tier accounting firm working in a fast-paced environment and to strict deadlines, preferably in external audit
· Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
· High levels of attention to detail and quality
· Highly developed relationship building and interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with a diverse range of people, stakeholders, and customers
· Computer literacy (including advanced Excel skills)
