The Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness team is the backbone of the IFC HR function, driving the delivery of strategic initiatives. Current critical projects include HR Transformation, organizational design, digital HR, employee engagement, and strategic workforce planning.
The People Insights lead plays a critical role in shaping IFC’s human capital strategy and HR’s digital transformation. The successful candidate will be a solutions-driven individual who can design and implement an effective People Insights function, while also enhancing the HR department’s analytical capabilities, workforce planning, and digitalization that leads to an evidence-based HR function. The successful candidate will partner with various stakeholders in and outside of HR, including teams in finance, corporate strategy, reporting and analytics. The position will report directly to the HR Manager of the Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness team, be a member of HR’s Extended Leadership Team and lead a team to whom they will provide mentorship, guidance, and support.
Duties and Accountabilities:
People Insights:
• Strengthen and establish a people insights function to support data-driven and evidence-based solutions across all IFC HR programs and activities.
• Advise HR teams on how to leverage data, reporting tools and ask the right questions that bring insights to guide their deliverables, decisions, and conversations with clients.
• Conduct exploratory and predictive analysis of workforce trends providing data-driven advice to inform decision making.
• Collaborate with other analytics and reporting teams across the World Bank Group, being IFC’s HR focal point.
• Champion the introduction of AI and digitalization in reporting, analytics, and other HR initiatives.
• Gather and integrate data from different systems and sources to create objective insights for decision making.
• Oversee IFC HR’s data governance and ensure availability of relevant and accurate data, dashboards, and visualizations for the HR teams.
• Lead a people analytics community promoting efficiencies and knowledge sharing to support the development of analytical skills within the IFC HR department.
• Stay abreast of external trends and best practices on people analytics, digital HR and strategic workforce planning.
• Nurture an external network with other people analytics practitioners.
• Lead the maturity of workforce planning in IFC to be a more strategic, skills-based, and data-driven approach and aligned with IFC’s business strategy, collaborating with key stakeholders in IFC.
• Leverage workforce intelligence to understand internal and external staffing trends, analyzing factors such as recruitment, retention and succession planning that will inform how to approach the annual workforce planning exercise.
• Partner with the Information Technology team to lead the improvement of the in-house workforce planning tool.
• Advise senior leadership on the approach for workforce planning, adapting to their feedback and responding quickly to their inquiries.
• Provide training and materials to HR Business Partners for successful workforce planning decision-making.
• Address the issues observed from the internal audit on workforce planning by executing the managerial actions plans.
• Advise on the acquisition and development of new HR technology.
Selection Criteria
• Master’s degree with at least 8 years of experience across HR and people/data analytics.
• Exhibit broad-based knowledge and extensive experience in people analytics, project management, HR advisory/consulting and change implementation.
• Proven ability to conceptualize, design and implement major projects and to produce major/complex reports or studies.
• Advanced excel skills and knowledge of visualization tools and statistical programs such as Power BI, tableau, R, Python.
• Working understanding of how AI models work and what AI tools are available and applicable to connect with other HR systems and create automated solutions.
• Experience in workforce planning, strategic HR, or related roles managing a complex program.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Visionary mindset and ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
• Demonstrated professional leadership and ability to lead a team of professionals in the execution of major projects.
• Thrive in a dynamic environment with changing requirements.
• Ability to work and collaborate across multifunctional teams.
