The Patient-Centered and Outcomes Research (PCOR) team consists of accredited researchers who aim to produce evidence that empowers patients and healthcare providers to make informed decisions that optimize health outcomes, enhance patient-centered care, and improve the overall quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery. Our PCOR team is made up of 4 practice areas: Health Economics Database Studies Health Preference Assessment Patient-Centered Outcomes Assessment Surveys and Observational Studies We are currently seeking a Research Program Manager who will be responsible for building and leading the Implementation Science Program within our organization. This director-level role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in implementation science, research methodologies, and project management. You will have advanced knowledge and experience in implementation science theories models and frameworks to guide strategy, as well as experience in designing and managing complex research projects. You will be accountable for building a strong pipeline of work and achieving annual and multi-year goals as identified by RTI-HS senior leadership, while partnering with multiple practice areas within Health Solutions as well as with other RTI business units with subject matter expertise to create a strategy that supports the comprehensive implementation science portfolio and could include external partnerships. This position requires a strong internal and external presence, business development acumen and representing RTI-HS at high-level professional meetings and conferences. Responsibilities Create a vision and strategy to build an implementation science program integrating new and existing service offerings and capabilities as well as strategic consultation to ensure that client scientific advancements are able to scale to target populations. Develop and lead the Implementation Science Program, including strategic planning, program design, and execution. Recruit, train, supervise, lead, and monitor performance of team responsible for the implementation science program. Oversee research projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. Manage a multidisciplinary team of researchers, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to timelines and budgets. Foster relationships with external stakeholders, including industry partners, academic collaborators, and regulatory organizations. Collaborate with key internal partners and other leaders across the RTI organization. Raise the profile of implementation science as an important strategy for improving patient outcomes and advancing health equity through internal and external presentations and publications. Develop and shares technical expertise in implementation science with team members. Monitor and evaluate the impact of implementation science projects, providing regular updates and reports to senior leadership. Stay abreast of advancements in implementation science and integrate innovative approaches into program development. Represent the organization at conferences, workshops, and other professional events to promote the Implementation Science Program. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards in the conduct of research. To be successful in this role, you will possess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Understanding of and experience with practical application of implementation science theories and quality improvement methods to address complexities of drug and medical device treatment. Knowledge of regulatory and ethical standards in health care and pharmaceutical research. Qualifications Master’s level degree in Implementation Science, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a related field, and 10 years of directly related experience, or a PhD in a related field and 6 years of directly related experience. Demonstrated experience in implementation science research particularly within the pharmaceutical or healthcare consulting industry, with a strong track record of managing complex projects. Demonstrated expertise using qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods. Demonstrated experience in business development and proposal writing. Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
