As the EU’s climate bank, the EIB is committed to putting EU climate goals into practice both inside Europe and around the world.
As a (Senior) Investment Officer, you will play an active role in shaping the European Cleantech landscape, being responsible for the origination and execution of equity-type risk transactions as well as the development of new equity and quasi-equity products in the European Cleantech Growth Capital space. We achieve impact by deploying EIB’s own resources combined with EU-EIB financial instruments like the InvestEU Green Transition facility in the form of direct equity-type risk investments, and by crowding in other public and private investors.
The Division is structured in two operational Units, both functionally similar. The selected candidate would report to one of the Heads of Unit, and will work closely not only with colleagues within the Cleantech Equity & Growth Capital Division and across the front office Lending Directorate, but will also cooperate with the Group Risk & Compliance (GR&C), Legal (JU), Projects (PJ), Portfolio Performance Monitoring (PMM) and Finance/Funding (Fl) directorates of the Bank.
