Background on the Global Markets Team
The CHAI Global Markets Team (GMT) strives to build healthy marketplaces to ensure the sustainable supply of vital medical commodities. In particular, the Global Markets Team helps life science companies understand what products are needed in low- and middle-income countries, what prices are sustainable, and how to navigate complex regulatory and procurement environments.
GMT is responsible for managing relationships with major pharmaceutical and diagnostics companies which includes negotiating access programs, licensing agreements, product development agreements, and volume guarantees, amongst other activities.

Position Details
This Senior Manager will lead key market-shaping activities for GMT focusing specifically on Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, & Newborn Health (SRMNH). Their primary objective will be to design, maintain, and update CHAI’s global supply-and demand-side strategies, lead negotiations, and collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure sufficient supply of affordable and high-quality commodities to low- and middle-income markets. In doing so, the Senior Manager will develop strong relationships with global and country teams within CHAI, as well as with pharmaceutical suppliers and key opinion leaders. The Senior Manager will report to GMT’s Director of SRMNH.
We are seeking a highly-motivated, entrepreneurial individual with outstanding problem-solving abilities and communication skills that shares in CHAI’s mission and values. The Senior Manager must be able to manage a small number of direct reports, function independently, and have a strong commitment to excellence. CHAI also places great value on qualities such as humility, resourcefulness, and tenacity.
This role could be based in the US or in a country where CHAI, pending GMT and country team leadership approval. This role will require up to 25% travel.
