PSI seeks a Senior Market Dynamics Advisor to provide technical leadership on a multi-country intervention aimed at mitigating antimalarial drug resistance in Africa through interventions that rapidly diversify artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT) use.
The Senior Market Dynamics Advisor will support activities to analyzing the Malaria treatment market context, designing and implement uptake activities to grow demand for Malaria treatment products, and building market shaping capacity of in-country technical teams working on the multi-country Malaria treatment product introduction project. Lead engagement with other Malaria partners who are working to develop market interventions such as a volume guarantee and scoping the need for a co-payment that offsets higher prices. Lead or may manage internal capacity building efforts across the PSI network. An internal and external thought leader and renowned expert in their field.
Salary Range:
$135,000 (MINIMUM) – $169,000 (MID-POINT) – $211,000 (MAXIMUM)

Actual base salary compensation may vary and will be determined by factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, experience, internal equity, external market analysis, and other business factors permitted by law. Your contributions
-Representation: Develop and maintain relationships with external partner organizations and donors. Influence the context in which PSI works through representation at relevant technical working groups, conferences, workshops, and policy-oriented forums. Assist in fostering, maintaining and strengthening internal strategic partnerships in collaboration with relevant departments and technical department and technical area leads in support of the Director of the technical department. 35% of the Time
-Technical: Lead the development of the department’s, project’s, or network member’s technical activities and strategy. Provide remote and in-country technical assistance to build capacity of network members to effectively deliver results in line with PSI and global best practices and the department’s, project’s, or network member’s technical strategy. Analyze evidence to determine best practices. Provide subject matter expertise in a specific technical area to the department, project, or network member. Lead the implementation of department’s, project’s, or network member’s workplans. 25% of the Time
-Thought Leadership / Knowledge Management: Recognized internally and externally as high-level subject matter expert, who drives thought leadership across PSI. Share technical knowledge and expertise to increase capacity in a specific technical area. Drive the utilization of evidence-based tools and innovations to improve the PSI network’s performance and reputation in a specific technical area. 15% of the Time
-People Management: May manage people; provide coaching and mentoring to staff. 15% of the Time
-Program Management: Lead a team or individually manage technical workstreams. Provides subject matter expertise while ensuring that all milestones and deliverables are met. 10% of the Time

What are we looking for?
-Master’s Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field (eg MPH, MSc, MPP, MPA, MBA)
-Doctorate Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field preferred
-At least 15 years of related work experience
-Demonstrate technical expertise in market dynamics and new product introduction. Subject matter expertise in global market shaping intervention design and execution..
-Ability to lead thought leadership in relevant market dynamics.
-Ability to contribute to the internal and external body of evidence in market dynamics.
-Ability to provide strategic technical assistance to PSI network.
-Ability to share knowledge internally and externally with communities of practice; represent PSI externally.
-Ability to distill complex technical concepts into strategic goals, objectives, and approaches; demonstrate strategic decision-making
-Ability design solutions to complex technical challenges.
-Ability to manage the execution of complex technical projects or initiatives.
-Ability to manage teams of technical advisors to achieve technical objectives.
-Ability to lead the development of technical approach for proposals and foster new business leads and identify and act on potential new business opportunities.
-Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
-Demonstrate emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate with colleagues.
-Proficiency in Microsoft 365. Familiarity with a quantitative or qualitative data analysis program preferred.
-Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in a relevant language other than English preferred.
