Job summary:
This role is responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and delivering award-winning, high-end visual products and experiences – incorporating photography, design, and video content to maximize the impact of live events and conventions. The role will report to the Section Chief of Digital Content & Production to deliver multi-disciplinary creative content (video, social media campaigns, visual stories, motion graphics) and produce studio-based and other live events held within the IMF HQ and overseas. The role requires problem-solving skills, a self-starter mindset, and effective teamwork. The successful candidate will manage diverse creative talents and working closely with IMF subject matter experts and Communications professionals. The Creative Solutions Division is responsible for elevating the work of the Fund through impactful and innovative visual communications. The Division has three sections: Digital Content and Production, Broadcast Technology and Engineering and Creative Operations and Strategy. This role sits in the Digital Content and Production Section.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead producer, responsible for coordinating all the elements of various creative projects, working across live events, podcasts, short and long form video production, photography, design and motion graphics to create compelling content in line with the IMF’s messaging priorities.
- Conceptualize and deliver ambitious, engaging live events and digital content to enhance the visual presentation of the IMF and turn complex macro-economic concepts into accessible messages and stories. Work alongside the IMF Studios team to elevate the live event audience experience both in-room and remote. Work on visual enhancement for major presentations and speeches.
- Lead teams and execute projects effectively, on budget and on time.
- Coordinate with the Section Chief and other Senior Media Officers to analyze and define departmental and IMF-wide requirements; identify emerging trends and best practices; formulate and implement recommendations.
- Help manage vendors and service providers (freelancers included) by negotiating fees and contract terms and conduct quality control of deliverables for specific jobs and oversee their performance against contractual terms and conditions. For strategic initiatives, help develop Statements of Work and assist with the formulation and awarding of RFPs and the management of contracts for vendor staffing.
Qualifications:
- Educational development, typically acquired by the completion of an advanced university degree in communications, computer science, or a related field, plus a minimum of four years of relevant professional experience; or a bachelor’s degree, supplemented by a minimum of ten years of relevant professional work experience, is required.
- Adaptable, self-starter and a problem solver who thrives in navigating complexities of large public institution.
- Committed to delivering high-end, impactful visual communications products with demonstrative track record obtained either in broadcasting or advertising/creative agencies.
- Passionate about innovation and new technology.
- Knowledge and experience of camera operation and post-production is nice-to-have but not essential.
This is a two-year contractual appointment. Contractual appointments at the IMF are renewable for up to four years of cumulative contractual service, pending incumbent’s performance, budget availability, and continuous business need.
