The IMF’s in-house content team is looking for a dynamic, motivated creative to join our award-winning group. The mission? To bring the story of the International Monetary Fund to life, and to the world.

Under the general supervision of the Section Chief of the Digital Content and Production Section (CP), Creative Solutions Division, CSF, this role will assist with the daily creative production and associated activities of the Division, including co-managing the work of the Design team and meticulously planning the creative direction of multiple products to ensure successful delivery and impact of projects.

Key requirements of the position, including competencies, as per the job description:

  • Oversee the design layout and visual impact of campaign materials, web/social media assets and digital/print publications and assets
  • Meet with key stakeholders and partners to determine visual needs and develop creative briefs to drive content
  • Assist Project Leads and Project Managers by assembling project talents, assign individual responsibilities, and acquire resources as needed
  • Be a guardian of IMF Brand and ensure all artwork produced in Creative follows brand guidelines and make changes where necessary. Ensure clients/suppliers are aware of the IMF Brand guidelines
  • Oversee the quality control process; proof and review work when necessary. Provide performance feedback to vendor managers and freelancers
  • Act as a back-upfor the Design Team Lead
  • Assist the Section Chief to build and maintain a network of freelancers across diverse disciplines (designers, motion graphic artists and illustrators), vet talents recommended by vendors and onboard full-time vendor talents to ensure brand and institutional compliance
  • Take ownership of the assigned projects, processes and deliverables. Manage project plans, schedule, costs and stakeholder communication. Facilitate client conversation; lead and execute projects from inception to delivery
  • Participate in development of Statement of Work for creative service and staffing contracts and assist with competitive procurement process (RFPs)
  • Act as a Creative Strategist and actively engage with client departments to build relationships with client contacts and contribute to planning and determining priorities and establish annual work plans with Team Leads, Media Officers and Project Managers
  • Be a liaison for Creative Solutions to Departmental and Fund-wide initiatives and task forces

Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • Educational development, typically acquired by the completion of an advanced university degree in design, marketing, communications or a related field, supplemented by a minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience; or a bachelor’s degree supplemented by a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional work experience, is required
  • Experience working at an in-house or external creative agency, creative studio or similar environment
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary creative teams
  • Experience of producing deliverables for complex live events, as well as experience of creative direction in a variety of contexts
  • Deep knowledge of creative process and design fundamentals
  • Knowledge of utilizingGen-AI tools to create content, streamline production and gain efficiencies
  • Technical proficiency in a wide range of publishing, graphics, and project management operating systems and software applications e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Workfront, etc
  • Proven track record of successfully building and managing creative talents.
  • Strong presentational skills, excellent oral and written communications skills and client relationship management skillsare essential
  • A strategic thinker with a passion for innovation, creative problem solving and new ideas

 

This is a two-year contractual appointment. Contractual appointments at the IMF are renewable for up to four years of cumulative contractual service, pending incumbent’s performance, budget availability, and continuous business need.
