The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Corporate Services Directorate – Group Digital Office (GCS-GDO), Data & Information Solutions Department (DIS), Content Management Solutions Division (CMS), Collaboration Solutions Unit (CS) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a (Senior) MS 365 Expert*.

This is a full-time position at grade 5/6 for which the EIB offers a permanent contract.

*internally referred as (Senior) Officer IT Applications

Purpose

Are you ready to embark for a journey where you will shape, strategize, orchestrate the EIB Groups’ Microsoft 365 (M365) Roadmap?

Your mission will be to unite talents from diverse domains within IT and business services to craft initiatives and strategies that drive towards the ultimate objective: the best digital workplace for the EIB Group.

Operating Network

You will directly report to the Head of Unit and collaborate closely with the Unit team members. There will be extensive contacts with other colleagues in the division and department, as well as other teams within the Group Digital Office and different business areas depending on project or product evolution.

Accountabilities

  • Propose solutions for business and technical needs across the EIBG particularly where gaps exist in own domain taking into account the EIBG policies and keeping documentation on systems and processes up-to-date
  • Take project and product management responsibilities for assigned IT projects in M365 domain, coordination, scheduling and implementation of new or enhanced software applications with business users and other IT technical teams in order to ensure the completion of project within set time, budget and quality objectives
  • Hold end-to-end responsibility for analysing and translating business requirements to application specifications in line with business needs, being the link between business users and the development team
  • Playing a key role in defining the EIB information management roadmap and technical implementation with particular focus on own domain of M365
  • Contribute to discussions and decisions concerning how to maximise the business value of M365 solutions within the EIB Group landscape
  • Reporting regularly on progress of M365 activities, projects / change initiatives to Head of Unit, whenever required Head of Division and other stakeholders of the M365 program
  • Ensure that IT policies in own domain are implemented and key operational processes are run in the most effective and efficient way

Qualifications

  • University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in computer science or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of work experience as IT Specialist/Business Analyst/Project Manager or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft / M365 tools, products and solutions across organisations as well as with M365 implementations, roll outs, and user adoption activities
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills, with presence and authority to influence stakeholders and partners
  • Proven record of project management/change management success, both in results achieved and in use of methodologies
  • Microsoft Certifications, Project Management Certification, either Prince2, PMP/PMI or PM2, Change Management Certification would be an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of English and/or French (*), with a good command of the other. (Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage).

(*) Unless stated explicitly as a required qualification, a good command of French is not a pre-requisite for hire. As both English and French are however official working languages of the EIB, proficiency in both languages is a pre-requisite for your future career development. Any language clause in your contract must be fulfilled in order for you to be eligible for a promotion (either via the annual appraisal cycle or via an internal selection process). Proficiency is understood to mean the attainment of level 5 of the Inter Institutional language courses, corresponding to B1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). The Bank offers appropriate training support.
