The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for its newly created Centre of Excellence, a (Senior) Product Owner – Document Service Platform – based in Poland*. This position will be part of Group Corporate Services Directorate – Group Digital Office (GCS-GDO) – Data & Information Solutions Department (DIS) – Content Management Solutions Division (CMS) – Collaboration Solutions Unit (CS) located in the EIB External Office in Warsaw, Poland.

This is a full-time temporary position at grade 5/6 in Warsaw, Poland. The term of the contract will be 4 years.

We’re searching for a motivated Product Owner to lead the charge in document automation and management. This role is not just about overseeing a platform; it’s about pioneering solutions that integrate seamlessly into our broader information management roadmap. You’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the future of document services and automation in the EU Climate Bank!

Operating Network

You will report directly to the Head of Collaboration Solutions Unit. You will work in close collaboration with various IT teams and internal stakeholders. As you will be based in Warsaw some business travel to the EIB Headquarters in Luxembourg is foreseen.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborating with key business and technical stakeholders to define the EIB information management roadmap, focusing on document services and automation
  • Playing a crucial role in maximizing business value from document services and automation solutions within the EIBG landscape
  • Proposing innovative solutions to meet business and technical needs, especially in areas where gaps exist, while adhering to EIBG policies and maintaining up-to-date documentation on systems and processes
  • Taking full product management responsibility for assigned IT projects in the document services and automation domain, including coordination, scheduling, and implementation alongside business users and other IT technical teams
  • Holding end-to-end responsibility for translating business requirements into application specifications, acting as the vital link between business users and the development team
  • Keeping abreast of internal and external trends in document automation and M365, ensuring our solutions remain cutting-edge
  • Regularly reporting on the progress of activities, projects, and change initiatives to stakeholders, contributing to transparent and effective communication
  • Overseeing the product lifecycle in project and service modes for document servicing and automation solutions, ensuring continuous alignment with user and technical needs
  • Ensuring the implementation of IT policies in your domain and the efficient operation of key processes

Qualifications

  • University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in computer science or related disciplines
  • At least 5 years of experience as an IT Product Manager/Specialist/Business Analyst/Project Manager/Change Manager
  • Functional and technical experience and knowledge with document services and automation platforms, products, and solutions across organisations as well as with Microsoft and M365 tools and suites
  • Experience as product manager and/or scrum master for organizing, prioritizing, and assessing work for a scrum team.
  • Expertise including the design, development, implementation and maintenance of business-related management information systems
  • Sound understanding of the banking activities and operational processes will be an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of English and/or French (*), with a good command of the other. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.

(*) Unless stated explicitly as a required qualification, a good command of French is not a pre-requisite for hire. As both English and French are however official working languages of the EIB, proficiency in both languages is a pre-requisite for your future career development. Any language clause in your contract must be fulfilled in order for you to be eligible for a promotion (either via the annual appraisal cycle or via an internal selection process). Proficiency is understood to mean the attainment of level 5 of the Inter Institutional language courses, corresponding to B1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). The Bank offers appropriate training support.
