WHY JOIN WFP?
WFP is implementing a GAFSP-funded nutrition-sensitive gender-responsive agriculture project in Koh Nhek district, Mondulkiri province (“GAFSP project”). In partnership with the Cambodian Agriculture Cooperative Corporation (CACC), Development and Partnership in Action (DPA), and other sub-national stakeholders, the project works with agricultural cooperatives (ACs), to integrate smallholder farmers into established value chains, increase agricultural productivity, support attainment of organic certifications, and improve marketing of agricultural products. The project uses social behaviour change (SBC) approaches to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment and agency as active members of agricultural cooperatives; as well as to translate improvements in agricultural productivity and livelihoods into healthier diets and better nutrition outcomes for women and children. This whole project especially targets excluded and disadvantaged groups, including indigenous populations and women.
To support this project, WFP is seeking to recruit a Field Operations Manager to be based in Koh Nhek district, Mondulkiri province to oversee the implementation of the project’s two components:
Strengthening organic value chains Improving diets, using social behaviour change (SBC) approaches.
Position Title: Senior Programme Associate, Manager (organic value chains and social behaviour change)
Type of Contract: WFP Service Contract
Grade: SC-7 (equivalent to GS-7)
Duty Station: Koh Nhek District, Mondulkiri Province, Cambodia
Duration: 1 December 2024 to 30 November 2025 (Possible for extension)
Reporting Line: This position reports directly to the Programme Coordinator (Field Office).
The incumbent will be responsible to:
1. Provide specialized expertise and contribute towards the development and ongoing adaptation of project activities, plans and processes within the area of food systems and nutrition ensuring alignment with wider programme policies and guidelines.
2. Coordinate and provide specialized project management support to implementing partners/ defined local actors in the “GAFSP” project to ensure that the various activities are performed within the established targets following WFP’s policies and procedures.
3. Prepare a variety of elaborated reports and substantial data analysis (e.g. food assistance needs, resource utilization, programme status, performance) related to the “GAFSP” project, and make recommendations to supervisors and WFP Country Office staff, ensuring deliverables adhere to corporate standards and quality control.
4. Lead and ensure accurate, timely recording of data related to the “GAFSP” project and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
5. Coordinate and liaise with internal counterparts on a range of complex matters to enable effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities.
6. Foster relationships and support partnership-building with local partners, agencies, NGOs, agricultural cooperatives, and government institutions to perform accurate food security analyses and to ensure efficient delivery of the “GAFSP” project. Support the capacity building of WFP staff, cooperating partners, agricultural cooperatives, and subnational government as related to the “GAFSP” project.
7. Act as an escalation point for complex query resolution on all matters within the area of responsibility.

3. Serve as WFP focal point in Mondulkiri
Language:
Fluency in both spoken and written English and Khmer is required, with proficiency in spoken Bunong being an added advantage.
