The Senior Programmer position holder will be responsible to develop, update and maintain applications in different platform and prepare research data with the objective of providing support to the research groups within the guidelines, policy and procedure and organizational values.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Programmer reporting to Division Support Coordinator will be mainly responsible for following duties and responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the different research groups for smooth functioning of data management works;
• Design database using SQL Server and develop application using Angular, .Net Core MVC and Rest Web API for the projects;
• Update application according to the requirements;
• Share data with researcher according to their needs;
• Prepare detailed technical document in order to utilize those software as per need;
• Coordinate with programmers for their development works;
• Train up users on usage of software applications and data capture devices;
• Collect feedback from users on existing programs for any changes required and make necessary changes;
• Develop application installation into the devices;
• Provide continuous support for user queries on the field;
• Provide required technical trainings to ensure smooth operation and continual improvement for the end users;
• Setup test environment and conduct trial tests to check for robustness of the program and check for accuracy;
• Check data inconsistency according to the requirements and logic;
• Prepare report highlighting the errors and correct the errors found in order to launch an error-free system / solution effectively.

Required qualification and experience:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science & Engineering or Information & Communication Engineering or relevant subject.
• 7 years of experience in software development domain in reputed organization and must have ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadline, work under stress and visit field sites.
• Must have knowledge in developing application using Angular, .Net Core MVC, and Sql Server database.
• Prior knowledge in Native Android and Sqlite would be preferred.

Location: Mohakhali Campus, Dhaka

Contract Type and duration:

• Fixed Term; duration will be 1 Year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.

Salary & benefits:

• Annual 14,59,020/- inclusive of house rent, conveyance allowances and other admissible benefits
• 14.8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,917/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life insurance, and subsidized canteen. Transport and day-care facilities are subject to space availability.
