Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Research Assistant will be directly involved in the data management, data analysis, prepare analytical dataset, summary data tables, graphs and presentations. The Senior Research Assistant will report to the Research Investigator and will be responsible for designing and implementing of analytical data management, data cleaning and analysis to attain study objectives. The specific areas of responsibilities include:

• Understanding study protocol and familiarizing with the data collection techniques
• Closely work with the Research Investigator team to develop data collection tools, metrics, and a detailed work plan for data collection;
• Identify and apply appropriate sampling frame and study design for surveys;
• Train people, supervise, and monitor the quality of data collection;
• Prepare coding instructions, and develop cleaned and merged data files;
• Check consistency among the study variables;
• Manage and analyze quantitative data; monitor and evaluation of the intervention.
• Provide all sorts of technical support to data collectors;
• Provide necessary support to the data management team for any inconsistencies in records/ID correction as and when required;
• Perform statistical quality checks on survey data, process and analyze survey data and propose estimate recommendations.
• Statistical data analysis for journal manuscript.
• Provide necessary input in preparing different types of reports, manuscripts, presentations, and documentation.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Masters of Science in Applied Statistics/Statistics from a reputed university with good academic records;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis;
• Statistical programming languages including STATA and SPSS;
• Experience of data management and analysis in Health Facility Survey Data; Pregnancy Surveillance Data; Household Survey Data of Maternal and Child Health related projects

Location: Mohakhali Campus, Dhaka

Contract Type and Duration:

• Fixed Term Contract; duration will be for 1 year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.

Salary & Benefits:

• Annual Tk. 521,070 /-(consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances and other admissible benefits.
• 8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,917/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life insurance, and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
