Senior Service Manager – Outreach
Location: West Sussex
Contract: Fixed term until December 2024
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £30,373 per annum based on 35 hours per week plus £300 per annum flexi working allowance

Could you lead a team dedicated to helping local people in crisis?
If so, you could be a Senior Service Manager within our team in West Sussex. The team support people who access health care, emergency care and mental health services more than expected.
The aim of this innovative programme is to change the perceptions for this group of vulnerable people.
Could you bring your skills to help spread the power of kindness within the world’s largest humanitarian organisation?
You’ll lead the team to deliver successful outcomes for both the person and the system, whilst managing your own caseloads efficiently.
The work that you and your team do will empower people to achieve ‘what matters to them’. This could be an enhanced quality of life, increased confidence or an improved sense of choice and control.
A day in the life of a Senior Service Manager. You will be…..
In charge of a dedicated team who are helping pin point and address unmet social needs that may be escalating physical and/or mental health.
Connecting with people in an authentic and compassionate way. You will support those who may have poor mental health, substance misuse, multiple and long-term conditions. They may have experienced adverse traumatic events and be suspicious of formality and offers of support.
Helping improve individuals’ self-management techniques, leading to improved wellbeing and confidence.
Focussing on care co-ordination, inciting for access and addressing health inequalities. You’ll know the system and be able to gain access for people falling through the gaps.
To be a successful Senior Service Manager:
Do you have casework experience in community-based services across any of these areas: mental health, drug and alcohol, physical health conditions, elderly, minority cohorts?
Do you have line management experience?
Do you have experience in developing person-centred support plans, engaging in a trauma informed way and managing risk?
Do you have exceptionally strong negotiation skills and patience in abundance?
Do you have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle?
You will be working out in the community with your team but your home will be your base.
