Southeast of England (flexible to work in the nearest BRC office in the locality)
Contract: Permanent
Full Time Hours: 35 per week (Monday – Friday)
Salary: up to £19,383 per annum, dependent on experience

A day in the life of a Service Admin Assistant

We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual with excellent interpersonal skills to join our Health (H) & Local Crisis Response (CR) service (HLCR) as a Service Administrative Assistant.

You will assist the Support Officer in providing administrative and operational support functions to the area that is managed and delivered in accordance with both the needs of the area and corporate requirements.

You will be an efficient administrator who is confident to respond to incoming enquiries from healthcare p rofessionals and (often vulnerable) members of the public over the phone and by email.

You will be able to use IT systems and databases in your role and produce well written letters and emails.

This is a role which requires a motivated, committed and enthusiastic person with excellent communication skills and an ability to deal with people in a sensitive yet professional manner.

This role will be supporting the British Red Cross Health (H) & Local Crisis Response (CR) service (HLCR) in the southeast of England. We can offer flexibility to which geographical location the successful candidate can work from, as we have several dedicated HLCR offices in the southeast.

To be a successful Service Admin Assistant you must have the following skills and experience:

Positive, passionate and enthusiastic approach to customer service
Confident in using telephone systems, bespoke company IT/data systems, Microsoft packages & Outlook (especially the ability to create, amend and manipulate Word and Excel applications)
General administrative duties; incoming and outgoing mail, answering the telephone and scanning, filing, meeting and greeting clients
Outgoing with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to deal with queries in a diplomatic, professional, sensitive and confidential manner (both verbally and in writing)
Ability to work accurately, check documentation for accuracy
