Pact seeks an experienced Sexual Violence Advisor for the anticipated USAID-funded DRC Jeunesse Enseignement Technique pour Opportunités Inclusives, Lucratives et Équitables (ETOILE) Activity, which aims to enhance inclusive workforce development to improve livelihoods for Congolese youth, particularly those from marginalized and underrepresented backgrounds, to improve social mobility, economic livelihoods, and access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services. This is anticipated to be a five-year activity (2023-2028). This position is contingent upon award.
The Sexual Violence Advisor must have expert knowledge in ways to work with sexual violence survivors. She will develop and coordinate skills training to strengthen therapeutic support, such as rotating savings structures, toolkits, and other ways of encouraging survivors to work together on their path to recovery. She will work directly with components to integrate gender considerations into the planning and review of the mechanism. The ideal candidate must possess a diversity of experience in the reduction of, risk mitigation and response to gender-based violence in the development field. Candidate must be well-versed in integrating sexual gender-based violence (SGBV) and applying do-no-harm principles across development sectors and throughout the program cycle. She will provide technical assistance to strengthen the conceptualization and implementation of all elements of the USAID/DRC Jeunesse Etoile Activity.
