Description of Responsibilities
The major responsibility in the team is to support The GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP) mainly focusing on:
• Support workshop/training organized by the team;
• Support project monitoring and evaluation related documents including project reports and publications:
• Translate, proofread, and edit SGP related documents;
• Draft and update project information on internal database and website;
• Maintain regular communication with NGO partners via email;
• Support content review and publication of NGO partner materials on social media and other outreach platforms:
• Attend meeting and draft meeting minutes:
• Assist with administrative and financial actions related to project recruitment and procurement
• Perform other ad hoc assignments as required by the team
Competencies
• Fluency in English and Chinese
• Background in environmental management, communications, business administration, international organizations, or other relevant fields
• Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems
• General understanding of the work of NGOs, environmental sustainability and international development issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft clear and concise documents in both English and Chinese.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in documentation and proofreading.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, content publishing, and basic design tools is an asset
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Master’s degree in environment or international development is desirable.
Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:
Language and Skills
Excellent written and spoken Chinese and English language.
