Shop Manager
Location: British Red Cross, 163 High Street, Poole BH15 1AU
Hours: 35 per week (Saturday working required and very occasional Sundays)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £21,925 per annum based on 35 hours per week
Do you care about the British Red Cross cause and have the skills and knowledge to promote our shop in your community as the charity retailer of choice?
If so, you could be the Shop Manager for our recently opened charity shop in Poole. With retail supervisory experience and an ability to get the best out of an amazing team, you will be responsible for the smooth running of a busy, profitable charity shop in the heart of your local community.

A day in the life of the Shop Manager:
- You will run a profitable, customer-focussed shop that is the ‘window of the British Red Cross’ on the high street. From working on the shop floor, to coordinating activity “behind the scenes”, no two days are the same.
- You will create a brilliant shopping environment and provide an excellent customer experience in store.
- You will oversee a team of dedicated volunteers, supporting their induction, management, and development.
To be a successful Shop Manager:
- You have retail experience at supervisory level. With proven management skills, you know how to organise, develop and inspire your team.
- You can deliver outstanding customer service and be comfortable with cash handling.
- You are commercially savvy with a good understanding of financial targets and measures, using your initiative to achieve fantastic results.
- You have proven IT skills.
- You like to be flexible (Shop hours are Mon-Sat 9-5, Sun 10-4)
