Title:Specialist, Prospect Development (Temporary/Part-Time)

Major Function

The Specialist, Prospect Developmentperforms a variety of standard and frequently complex duties and responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of the Prospect Development teams’ activities within the Development department. Activities include routine coding of Prospect Management activity at the direction of the Manager, Prospect Management. AssistingDevelopment team members with critical day-to-day information and data support, as well as queries and reports from WWF’s Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system. Gathers, documents,and evaluates business process requirements from Development Teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

Systems Support

  • AssistsDevelopment staff with basic to moderate systems or reporting needs, including operation of functions, record changes, and running queries and reports
  • Maintainsand executes standard quarterly or annually run reports critical for various team’s operations
  • Writes system queries as requested by Development team members
  • Monitors data quality for Development donor accounts
  • Conduct basic investigation of system issues and errors, andsubmits work tickets for corrective resolution as necessary
  • Assist Development staff with unique CRM system operations such as invitation lists or marketing efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Prospect Management

  • Track and make opportunity, plan or prospect status changes per Portfolio Review Changes and gift officer request(s)
  • Work closely with development staff to ensure that all necessary actions and activities are entered into the prospect management system correctly and on time
  • Work with Fundraising Operations to update certain information in CRM, when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Skills and Abilities

  • BA and 6years’experience in Development operations, CRM systems, prospect management
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize, complete work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
  • Analytical, and technical skills with the ability to create project tracking and plans
  • Ability to manage large data projects with flawless attention to detail
  • Knowledge of fundraising solicitation strategy and major gifts process
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, callers and visitors.
  • Fluency in Blackbaud CRM database software,Excel,and PowerPoint
  • Strong commitment to mission, goals, and values of WWF
