Job Profile

The Sponsorship Innovation & Transformational Communications Specialist – Sponsorship Operations will provide specialized technical leadership and support to National and Field offices in the area of Sponsorship 2.0 productions. The position requires planning, capacity building and networking within the internal operation while negotiating productions with the regional office and global center.

Major Responsibilities

• Act as the country specialist in terms of knowledge and technical capacity Obtain and share the knowledge of the Global requirements and standards with the Area Programme (Ap).
•  Share the quality findings with the APs and Regional Sponsorship Specialists.
• Develop plans in collaboration with APs to ensures sponsor communications activities are designed in such way so as to contribute to life skills and development assets of children
• Lead the quality review team at the National Office to ensure all communication materials meet the required quality standards.
• Develop plans based on analyzed information to increase capacities of AP staff (AP Sponsorship + Development Facilitators) and community partners
• Develop internal relationships within departments to ensure smooth operations where high-quality products are created
• Plan and prepare along with the Manager – Sponsorship in accordance with the GC Chosen forecast
• Engage in own personal learning & development, spiritual maturity and contribute to the development of colleagues

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

• At least 4 years of experience in World Vision Lanka as a Sponsorship Coordinator or in a similar agency
• A university degree preferably in Social Science or related field
• Understanding of community-led development work
• Strong facilitation skills, including catalyzing, connecting and building the capacity of community groups
• Proficient in English, Sinhala and Tamil.
