ICRISAT seeks applications for the position “Senior Officer-Electrical Engineer” for ASIA, Farm and Engineering Services. To enable efficient functioning of the Electrical Unit. Should be able to lead a team of electrical staff for providing continuous power supply to the Institute round the clock, monitor the power consumption of the institute closely and take up power saving measures on a continuous basis and update MIS. Coordinate with inter departments in understanding their requirements and arrange necessary support for their Electrical requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To lead a team of Technicians in repairs, and maintenance of Electrical substation 33KV and 11KV, Transformers, Switch-gears, overhead lines, HVAC system, Diesel Fired Boiler, VAM chiller, Air handling units, Air conditioners, etc.
• Ensure execution of timely & quality delivery of various works of the Units with all safety guidelines & protocols.
• Prepare work schedules & PPM activities and ensure they performed in time, and ensure records are maintained.
• Liaise with Electrical authorities TRANSCO and coordinate with them in Maintaining the Electrical Substation.
• Ensure good team spirit among teams & client orientation.
• Engage with inter-disciplinary teams in a multi-cultural environment.
• Ensure the timely completion of work schedules with high quality & efficiency.
• Should display initiative to be available beyond normal working hours / off days, as and when required in the interest of work.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Requirement:

• BE/B Tech in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering with minimum 5/10 years’ experience in the Electrical sections of Heavy industries.
• Should be well aware of all Preventive and operational maintenance of Transformers and related switch gears, overhead lines, motors, generators etc.
• Should have thorough knowledge in the maintenance and operations of at least 33Kv / 11Kv sub stations and D.G sets of 500 KVA and above.
• Should be well versed in reading electrical drawings and executing new installations in co-ordination with other departments.
• Knowledge of Air conditioning, HVAC systems is desirable.
• Should have 33KV license
• Should be willing to stay in campus.

 General:

This is a contractual role for a period of 36 months (3 years).
