THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Sr. Specialist, Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist is accountable for partnering with hiring managers to support full-cycle recruitment efforts, cultivating an in-depth understanding of hiring needs, to develop and execute recruitment strategies and campaigns to attract and source qualified candidates. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with hiring managers to determine job requirements, screening candidates, and forecasting hiring needs. You may also be required to promote our organization’s brand with recruitment initiatives and events.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

As one of the vibrant roles within the organization, we are seeking an individual who is eager to work on the following areas: 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria.
  • Build and nurture a talent pool & pipeline to support the organizational talent needs and in alignment with Save the Children Canada values
  • Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks
  • Oversee and deliver full recruitment services; including consulting with internal hiring managers, creating attractive job postings, sourcing, interviewing, selection, employment offers and ensuring orientation and onboarding processes are in place.
  • Liaising with internal departments to determine recruitment needs.
  • Sourcing potential candidates through ADP Workforce Now career centre, recruitment sites, job boards, and social platforms.
  • Evaluating applications and screening candidates via calls or emails, as well as facilitating pre-interview screening.
  • Documenting processes and fostering good relationships with potential candidates and past applicants.
  • Attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline

 

WHAT YOU BRING

In order for you to carry out these duties, we believe that you are brining the following education and sets of skills. 

Qualification, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Completion of post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in Human Resources
  • 4-6 years in a talent acquisition function responsible for full cycle recruitment in a complex and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated experience of bringing new recruiting operational concepts to implementation, active participant in the enhancement of tools, techniques, processes and procedures.
  • Experience in International non-profit sector considered an asset
  • Deep Knowledge of relevant legislation including Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, AODA, Canada Labour Code, Human Rights Code
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Outlook Excel, Teams and Sharepoint
  • Excellet interpersonal skills with a solution-oriented focus and the ability to develop productive relationshiops with internal and external stakeholders
  • A skilled organizer with excellent time management abilities, storng attention to detail and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
  • Experience using the ADP WorkforceNow Talent Module & LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Must adhere to Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding policy and protocols

WHAT WE OFFER

This position salary range between $70,150 – $84,180 CAD depending on skills and experience. In addition to this, our employees will have the following package of additional benefits:
