Our organisation

Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS) provides a Joint Headquarters (HQ) to plan, prepare and conduct operations to support NATO’s core tasks, at the Joint Operational level, as directed by Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR).

The Command Group (CG) provides and sustains operational level joint command and control capabilities at designated readiness states.

The Office of the Chief of Staff (COS) ensures the implementation of relevant policy.  Directs and coordinates HQ staffing activity with oversight of travel, workplace and financial management, structures and provision of administrative support.

The incumbent will support the JFCBS, NATO 2030, change management programme as the team administrator within the JWF HQ (Joint Warfighting Headquarters) Programme Management Team.

 

The SA (Joint Warfighting Headquarters):

The incumbent’s duties are:

– Supports the Line of Development (LoD) structure in the use of Project Management Techniques

– Manages the JWF HQ Programme team NATO Information Portal (NIP), Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS) and functional mailbox

– Monitors the JWF HQ Programme Taskers

– Acts as the Team Information Manager

– Supports the effective and efficient functioning of the Team

– Acts as the Team Automated Personnel Management System (APMS) Clerk

– Undertakes additional duties as part of the Programme team as directed or assigned

Assist project teams in using Project Management Techniques

The work is normally performed in a normal NATO office-working environment.

Normal Working Conditions apply.

The incumbent may be required to undertake deployments in support of military operations and exercises, and/or TDY assignments, both within and without NATO boundaries. Such operational deployment may exceed 30 days duration up to 183 days in any period of 547 days, and may be on short notice. For NATO International Civilian Staff, acceptance of an employment contract linked to this post constitutes agreement to deploy in excess of 30 days if required.

Required Qualifications

-English – good – NATO Standard Language Proficiency 3322

(Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing) in accordance with NATO standard agreement (STANAG) 6001.

NOTE: The work both oral and written in this post and in this Headquarters as a whole is conducted mainly in English.

– Higher Secondary education and intermediate vocational training in accounting, finance, management, business administration, public administration, engineering, economics, operations research, business process engineering or related field / discipline with 2 years’ experience OR Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in relevant field / discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years related experience.

– 2 years’ experience in the administration of a project or programme management team.

– Experience in Office Management and knowledge of current technologies used in information systems.

– Proven experience working within diverse cross-functional teams.

Desirable Qualifications

– Professional experience of working in multicultural organization

– Experience working directly with middle leadership

– Lean SIX SIGMA certification or similar certification

– Alternative Analysis Course

The successful selected candidate needs to have a NATO security clearance and is required to pass a medical examination before an employment contract offer will be released.

This requirement is in support of the NATO 2030 agenda.

The successful candidate will be offered a 3 years definite duration contract as NATO International Civilian (NIC); remuneration will be exempt from taxation and allowances will be applied whenever applicable. For serving NIC Staff, the stipulations on contracts in the NCPRs will be respected.
