JOB DETAIL

Result of Service

Preparation of stock and materials needed for order batches/stock movements are timely and accurate. Correct distribution of packages from customers, oversea accounts and stamp dealers. Successfully assist in counting the inventory of UNPA operational stock and other duties with regards to customers’ special requests.
Smooth functioning of stock preparation as well as materials needed for order batches/stock movements. Correct distribution and processing of packages received from customers, stamp dealers and UNPA counters. Successful performance of functions outlined in paragraph 3 above.
High rate of satisfied customers and high quality philatelic end-products.

Location of work will be homebased at the UNPA Mail Operational

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of Mr. Ronald ZOLETA, Supervisor, Mail Operations and overall guidance of the Officer-in-Charge, UNPA Europe, the contractor will work in the operational stockroom to pull out stock of philatelic items from the shelves and prepare materials needed for order batches/stock and sub stock movements in a timely manner. The contractor will also receive packages from customers, stamp dealers and UNPA counters to be sorted and processed. Additionally, the contractor will process returned philatelic items from customers and dealers which will be verified, counted and upon request of the client, exchanged. Requests from customers and dealers for special philatelic cancellations which cannot be done by the Heidelberg machine will be
processed. Other duties include the shipping and handling of pouches and envelopes to be sent out to UNPA customers in a timely manner and to assist in peak workload assignments required to meet critical deadlines. The contractor will assist in counting the inventory of UNPA operational stock, liaise with colleagues within UNPA, and perform other stock and order filling duties as assigned.

Qualifications/special skills

At least 2 years of relevant experience in the area of pulling out, counting stock inventory, distributing products from stock for further preparation and dispatch to customers and sales agents is required.
Good knowledge of UNPA philatelic products is required.
Good knowledge of postal rules and regulations is required.
Ability to work with figures and pay attention to details is required.
Good manual skills to handle stamps and other philatelic products is required.
Professionalism, client-orientation and accountability is required.
Flexibility in working days is desirable.
Additional relevant training is an advantage.
