Mission and objectives
Promotion of Sustainable Development in Donga Mantung Association was officially recognized by the Government of Cameroon in 2006 under authorization No. 152/E.27/750/BAPP/PS. In 2024, it achieved Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, focusing on sustainable development, climate change mitigation, and migration assistance. The association was registered as an Extra-Provincial Corporation in Alberta, Canada, in 2024. On October 15, 2024, it adopted the name Promotion of Sustainable Development in Donga Mantung Association Canada Ltd for use in Alberta-Canada. Our Mission: We empower our members by improving living conditions, promoting biodiversity, restoring landscapes, assisting newcomers, and addressing climate change through sustainable practices. Our Main Objectives: Ameliorate the living conditions of our members. Promote and encourage biodiversity conservation. Support the restoration of degraded landscapes (farms, water sources, forests, etc.) through tree planting and growing. Provide migration assistance to newcomers in Canada. Validate actions that adapt to and mitigate climate change.
Context
We are looking for Online Volunteers that will support us in sharing innovative fundraising ideas and researching potential donor organizations and funding opportunities for our organization’s humanitarian efforts. The Online Volunteers should focus primarily to research potential donors to fund not for profit organization at her initial stage. The project will be primarily addressing migration settlement programs for new comers to Canada who need support with information, need support with filing refugee claims, need support in submitting application for permanent residence application, need support in faxing and sending mails, printing documents and who do not have personal cell phones to make calls. The goal is to identify potential donors, understand their giving patterns, and develop a targeted fundraising strategy that aligns with the organization’s mission and goals. This work is crucial as it will directly support the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian activities that we do.
Task Description
PROSDOMA is seeking 6 online volunteers to assist with donor research, partner outreach, and grant proposal writing. Tasks will be divided among six online volunteers, with two volunteer focusing on one specific area. the six volunteers will be divided into two groups and each volunteer will perform each task. The areas of responsibility are as follows: • Donor Research (One volunteer) • Partner Outreach (One volunteer) • Grant Proposal Writing (One volunteer) Each volunteer will be assigned one of these tasks, ensuring clear task distribution in line with our policy of assigning one task per volunteer. The online volunteers will be responsible for identifying potential donors, businesses, and organizations that could support Career Connect and related initiatives, and gathering their contact information and relevant details. The online volunteers will also draft clear, compelling correspondence, including introduction letters, partnership proposals, and thank-you notes for outreach to donors and partners. In addition, the online volunteers will write three tailored grant proposals for key initiatives, ensuring they align with the projects’ goals and impact. All drafts will be submitted for internal review before final submission to ensure they meet the organization’s objectives. Volunteers will not be responsible for sending proposals or correspondence to identified donors or partners. Their focus will be on drafting and preparing materials for submission to TEAM PROSDOMA.
