Support Worker – Connecting Communities
Location: 12 Heron Road, Belfast, Antrim, BT3 9LJ
Hours: 21 per week over 3 days
Contract type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2024 with possibility of extension
Salary: £19,838 per annum pro-rata based on 35 hour week
Driving Requirement: Full UK Manual Driving Licence held for minimum of two years

If so, we need you!

You would be supporting vulnerable adults within Belfast area in all sorts of different ways. Everyone is individual and therefore, so are their needs. Your time could be spent with someone taking them to the shops, introducing them to local groups or simply going out for a coffee.

You would support service users for up to 12 weeks, encouraging them to take up an interest, join a local group or simply get out of the house.

A day in the life of a Support Worker will involve:

Visiting up to 3 service users each day.
Providing practical and emotional one-to-one support.
Assessing service users needs and offering relevant support and guidance.
Preparing and maintaining reports on meetings with individuals.
Signposting / introducing people to local groups or new pastimes.

To be a successful Support Worker:

Do you have a manual UK driving licence, held for minimum of two years and access to a vehicle? (mileage will be paid for use of own vehicle).
Are you kind, caring and empathetic with an ability to relate to and support vulnerable people?
Do you have a basic IT knowledge?

Please note there is no personal care or administration of medication for this role.
