JOB DETAIL

Are you passionate about training, learning and development, and leadership development? Would you like to support IAEA’s managers and teams  to work effectively and contribute directly to the safe, secure, and peaceful use of nuclear technologies? If so, this is an exciting opportunity for you!

At the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), we are looking to expand a talent pool of Facilitators to support the development of IAEA managers and leaders. As a Facilitator, you will use your facilitation skills to support the Agency and its managers to design and deliver team-based activities in areas such as team development, performance management, leadership and change management. In addition, you will address specific work unit needs and deliverables, generate ownership, and motivate all managers to bring enthusiasm and priority to management and technical issues.

Given the variety of activities envisioned, the IAEA will utilise your services depending on your areas of strength. Each Facilitator within the pool must be willing to work with another Facilitator should the need arise.

As a Facilitator, you may perform some of the following tasks:

  • Develop teams by addressing interpersonal, work-related and performance issues and fostering a knowledge-sharing culture.
  • Results-based work planning, including strategic planning, stakeholder analysis, client satisfaction reviews, focus group discussions and development of SMART outputs.
  • Reinforce teamwork and efficient processes.
  • Implement change management approaches and processes to support reform activities.
  • Foster innovation and stimulate co-creation.

To apply for this position, you must have the following:

  • A first level degree in a related field.
  • At least five years of experience designing and delivering a wide range of facilitation in international organisations, preferably in a national public sector or the UN system.
  • Experience working in different countries with diverse cultures on complex organisational initiatives and activities is an advantage.
  • Experience in maintaining a quality assurance plan and mechanism to ensure consistently high-quality facilitation.
  • Excellent project management and negotiation skills with a demonstrable ability to provide exceptional client service in a multicultural context.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with effective relationship-building and analytical skills.

If you are selected, the duration of activities where you may be engaged may vary from one-half day to multiple interventions over several weeks. Your activities will be designed and delivered on a case-by-case basis either home-based or in-person according to the identified needs. The IAEA does not guarantee any minimum of workdays under any contract which is offered.

Applications from qualified women and candidates from developing countries are encouraged
