The position is to be filled as of January 1, 2024, with a contract duration until August 31, 2025 due to parental leave coverage. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.

As Team Lead “HR Standards, Systems & Services”, you will be responsible for the functional and disciplinary management as well as the strategic development of the team within Welthungerhilfe’s Human Resources Unit. You will further develop the team’s work processes and be the main contact person within the organisation for issues relating to the overall content of “HR Standards, Systems & Services”. You will also be responsible for the design, implementation and management of cross-functional projects in your area of responsibility.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the Head of HR in the development and control of global HR standards and their further development in order to achieve Welthungerhilfe’s strategic goals
  • Lead, monitor and support all relevant HR processes in the team as well as the strategic and conceptual development of HR standards, systems and services
  • Ensure proper HR administration, including payment of salaries and company pension schemes, and handling of expatriate taxation
  • Support the Executive Management in contract and salary matters
  • Define and ensure the required quality standards in the “HR Standards, Systems & Services” team
  • Monitor and ensure the correct application of internal regulations (in particular company agreements) and applicable laws (labour law, social security law, data protection law, tax law) as well as other labour law regulations
  • Initiate and develop cross-functional topic areas in coordination with the Head of HR and other organisational units involved, in order to keep the area of responsibility as a whole ‘fit for the future’ and to adapt it to future standards

Your profile

  • Completed university or college degree or comparable qualification
  • At least 5 years of international HR experience
  • Experience in the design and implementation/management of cross-functional HR projects
  • In-depth knowledge of labour and social security law
  • Excellent MS Office skills and experience with HR systems
  • Strong analytical, strategic and leadership skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent spoken and written German and English language skills
