Team Leader – PIVOT Community Support
Location: Pembrokeshire
Contract type: Fixed Term to end March 2024 with possibility of an extension
Hours per week: 35 per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £22,781 per annum
About the role
We are looking for a positive, energetic and enthusiastic person to oversee the strategic delivery and day to day management of the PIVOT service across Pembrokeshire.
In addition to line managing a small staff and volunteer team operating across Pembrokeshire, the post holder will work with the Independent Living Service Manager to ensure that the contract and reporting requirements of commissioners are met.
The post holder will drive continued development of the service, and in addition to the above will have responsibility for:
Relationship management with Royal Voluntary Service (RVS)/Pembrokeshire Association of Community Transport Organisations, Care & Repair (C&R), Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS)and funders
Expansion and future sustainability of PIVOT
Driving forward continuous improvement of service delivery
Disseminating learning from the service with strategic stakeholders in Pembrokeshire
About the team
PIVOT is a partnership project between the British Red Cross and the RVS, C&R, PAVS Hywel Dda Health Board and Pembrokeshire Unitary Authority. This post will be line-managed by the British Red Cross but the post holder will work closely within the collaborative partnership.
The Independent Living & Crisis Response service (IL/CR) supports people in the space between hospital and home and responds to the needs of people in crisis following an emergency; maintaining an extensive network of external relationships across health, social care, and emergency services
About the person
To be successful in this position you must have following skills and experience:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills including tact/diplomacy/conflict resolution skills
Decision making & problem solving skills including the ability to think strategically & laterally
Educated to A level or equivalent by experience
QCF/Management qualification or achievement of this within an 18 month period
Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management and how these are carried out
Collation & analysis of statistical & user feedback data
IT literate
Experience in project development within health & social care services
Experience in staff recruitment & management
Experience in preparing written records and reports
Experience in monitoring & evaluation of services
Experience in budget responsibilityExperience in partnership working
Able to work occasional unsociable hours
Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
