Salary:
The monthly remuneration for this position is calculated based on grade A2/A3 according to the salary scale of the Coordinated Organisations, depending on the level of experience of the successful candidate, and subject to national taxes and social insurance.
Duration:
The successful candidate will be offered a full-time contract of two years, which can be extended up to two further years, subject to the availability of funds.
Job description
The EUISS has been entrusted to implement a ‘Monitoring and Support Action’ under the ‘Global Threats Programme (GTP)’ of the ‘EU Neighbourhood Instrument’ which is financed from funds of the EU budget. With an envisaged four-year duration, the Action has a global geographical scope and covers several thematic priorities: counterterrorism and prevention of violent extremism, mitigating CBRN threats, combating organised crime, addressing critical infrastructure threats as well as threats related to effects of climate change.
The Action focuses on five output areas: (1) monitoring of programme actions and impact paired with recommendation of corrective measures, (2) ensuring coherence and coordination of programme components and with other linked initiatives, (3) identifying areas for development through context expert analysis, (4) providing technical expert advice to ensure quality and standards, (5) supporting programme visibility within EU as well as partner countries and organisations.
The EUISS seeks to hire an experienced team leader and expert for programme monitoring and support who will be responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of activities under the different output areas of the Action. In this role, the incumbent will lead a small team of experts and report to the EUISS Director.
