PSI Burundi combines market development and behavioral strategies to help Burundians make their own healthcare choices, particularly in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, malaria, and HIV. Working alongside the public and private sectors, the Burundi government and market players, PSI Burundi is paving the way for quality, affordable, consumer-centric care.
PSI is seeking an experienced Technical Director for a five-year USAID activity in reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health, immunization and malaria (RMNCI+M) in Burundi, estimated at $45 million.
The objective of the activity is to support comprehensive maternal, neonatal and child health, immunization and malaria control services at health facility and community levels. It aims to strengthen the health system at national and district levels to improve the delivery of high-quality services across the continuum of care; promote healthy behaviors among youth, men, and women; and strengthen the health system to support integrated care delivery.
The role will oversee the overall implementation of the project, ensuring that project deliverables are ready on time and within budget. The candidate will ensure that the project is carried out in coordination and collaboration with the PSI Burundi management team, government officials and other national stakeholders. S/he will support the alignment of the project with PSI’s global strategic priorities, platform priorities, as well as national and regional priorities, strategies, policies and interventions. S/he will ensure that the project operations with a minimum of financial, contractual, and reputational risks.
Salary Range:
$83,000 (MINIMUM) – $104,000 (MID-POINT) – $125,000 (MAXIMUM)
The annual base salary range reflected above is in USD.* We value transparency and have provided the full salary range for this role. Actual base salary compensation may vary and will be determined by factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, experience, internal equity, external market analysis, and other business factors permitted by law. Hiring above the mid-point of the range would not be typical in order to allow for potential future salary growth. *Candidates approved to receive expatriate packages will receive the appropriate compensation and allowance package. For candidates approved to be hired directly through the local PSI office, pay and benefits will be commensurate with the role and practices of the local office, including payment in local currency.
