We are seeking a motivated Temporary Conference Services Assistant to join our team under the supervision of the Conference and Governance Services Officer. The incumbent will support the logistical and administrative organisation of official meetings for the Governing and Subsidiary Bodies of the Convention, including the upcoming 15th Conference of the Contracting Parties (COP15) to be held in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, from 23 to 31 July 2025.
This position is open only to candidates who already reside in Switzerland or neighbouring France, as it is a locally recruited role and does not offer expatriate benefits.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Event Management, Logistics, International Relations, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in events management, logistics coordination, or administrative support, ideally in an international or environmental governance setting. • Practical and hands-on mindset is a must: willing to dive into day-to-day tasks, take initiative, and actively contribute to execution and problem-solving. • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of other official languages of the Convention (French and Spanish) is an asset. • Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database interfaces (CiviCRM). • Availability to be on-site at the COP15 venue in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, for up to three weeks in July 2025. |
