JOB DETAIL

Project Context and Scope
Established in 1951, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.
IOM Kazakhstan is implementing a 36-month regional project titled “Protection of Vulnerable Migrants with Special Emphasis on Empowering Women in the Context of Migration in Central Asia.” The project aims to enhance the protection and resilience of vulnerable migrants, particularly women, by increasing their economic empowerment and ensuring their access to the labour market in countries of origin and destination.
Women migrants often face severe risks due to their gender and migration status, including economic dependency, limited access to decent work, and vulnerability to exploitation. This training is designed to address these challenges by equipping key stakeholders with the necessary knowledge and skills to promote women’s economic empowerment in migration contexts.
