Mission and objectives

The mission of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is to contribute to global peace and security, human rights, and development by making the world safer from drugs, crime, corruption, and terrorism by working for and with Member States to promote justice and the rule of law and build resilient societies. The mandates of UNODC include the areas related to transnational organized crime, criminal justice, countering corruption, drug control and terrorism. This allows the Office to provide comprehensive solutions to the interrelated challenges Member States face. Strong institutions that have integrity and accountability will provide effective responses and access to justice. Moreover, effective institutions are also key to promoting a balanced response to drugs. The Office helps ensure that efforts to address crime, corruption, terrorism and drugs are coordinated across national boundaries, facilitating our shared responsibility in addressing these challenges.

Translating logistical notes into multiple languages ensures that participants from diverse linguistic backgrounds can access vital information about UNODC events, thereby enhancing global collaboration and inclusivity. This task aligns with UNODC’s mission to promote justice and strengthen international cooperation.

Task Description

Translation of the UNODC travel logistic note to the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish, in addition to Portuguese. Each two volunteers willbe assigned a language—one translates, and the other proofreads.
