Mission and objectives
UNV contributes to peace and development by advocating for recognition of volunteers, working with partners to integrate volunteerism into development programming, and mobilizing an increasing number and diversity of volunteers, including experienced UN Volunteers, throughout the world.
Context
UNV plans to support approximately 100 candidates with registration in UVP who will be potentially deployed to support UNDP’s efforts in building resilience in the communities. Note: Online Volunteers share their time and expertise on a voluntary basis and do not receive any financial compensation. Contributing to sustainable human development, developing knowledge and skills, expanding networks and working in a multicultural environment are some of the many benefits of online volunteering. Upon successful completion of the assignment, Online Volunteers will receive an electronic certificate of appreciation.
Task Description
We are looking for 1 Online Volunteer who will be supporting potential candidates with registration in UVP who might have issues due to language constraints. We have a list of approximately 100 candidates who need to be registered in UVP (app.unv.org) throughout November – December 2024, and some of these candidates (Armenian citizens) don’t speak English, whilst UVP operates in English. Therefore we will need an online volunteer (OV) who could support these candidates who don’t speak English with the registration process by guiding where to click, how to upload the documents, which information to fill in etc. Our office will provide a licensed Zoom link which can be used at any time should the OV and potential candidates wish to use screen sharing. Our office will also provide a clear guidance on registration in UVP for the OV so that this knowledge can be used and shared with the potential candidates.
