What we are looking for
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, resilient and dynamic Treasury Specialist Adviser.
More About the Role
The Treasury Specialist Adviser is responsible for that NRC has solid and efficient banking and payment provider relationships, ,will effectuate and advise on payments and foreign exchange currency trades in a highly complex and volatile sanction environment, and will monitor cash flows and invest surplus liquidity in line with NRC’s Policy for Financial Reserve Investment.
What you will do
- Responsible for developing and maintaining NRC’s policy for cash liquidity, monitoring and initiating actions to maximize returns from equity and surplus liquidity in line with NRC’s Policy for Financial Reserve Investment.
- Responsible for being a super user and administrator of NRC’s bank portals and treasury systems.
- Responsible for providing the required KYC documents and responding to the due diligences’ requirements requested by banks and payments providers.
- Responsible for the foreign exchange (FX) trading on the 360T platform. Based on country offices’ local currency needs, liaise with FX service providers to ensure that trades are executed securely at the best competitive rates.
- Work closely with the Treasury, Accounting and Salary back-office team to ensure that trading and payment activities are correctly accounted for, reported, and tracked on a timely basis and aligned to set policies and regulatory requirements.

What you will bring
- Relevant experience with treasury within a large and complex international environment
- Advanced user of Excel and other Microsoft applications
- Financial analytical skills
- Professional knowledge in accounting
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Accurate and attentive to detail

- Duty station: Oslo, Norway
- Contract: Permanent
- Travel: 5% -10%
- Salary/benefits: Grade 9 on NRC’s Head Office salary scale
