Headquarters Joint Force Command Headquarters Brunssum (HQ JFCBS) provides a Joint Headquarters (HQ) to plan prepare and conduct operations to support NATO’s core tasks, at the Joint Operational level, as directed by Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR).
The Management Directorate enables the full range of HQ functions through the coordination of services and activities.
The Base Support Group (BSG) is responsible for the coordination of base support operations for JFCBS and collocated entities.
The Infrastructure, Storage and Supply (ISS) Branch is responsible for managing engineering, infrastructure, maintenance and supply functions for JFCBS and supported elements.
The Supply and Warehouse Section provides warehouse and supply services for JFCBS, supported elements and ongoing operations and is in addition responsible for the management and operation of all transport assets. The incumbent is responsible for the daily operation of the Warehouse.
The incumbent:
Ø Manages the daily operation of all Supply and Warehouse LWR personnel; reviews; prioritises and issues daily work assignments;
Ø Collates/Ensures compliance of data for annual calibration/testing of electrical and technical equipment are in accordance with Host Nation ARBO Laws;
Ø Executes annual performance interviews with Supply LWR staff;
Ø Acts as the Point Of Contact (POC) for all Supply LWR issues in relation to LWR sick leave & periods of absence, providing documentation and notifying J1 & ARBO doctor as required;
Ø Acts as senior advisor to Head of Supply according all logistics matters including budget and fund management. Ensure accurate, correct and transparent financial registration of all Supply AF activities;
Ø Acts as the authorization officer for all credit card transactions within Supply
Ø Acts as the PAO (Property Accounting Officer) in absence of the Section Head Supply and Warehouse section;
Ø Acts as Point of contact (POC) for all external contractors/customers in Supply;
Ø Prepares all logistic purchase requests and call orders;
Ø Instructs BSG personnel who are using logistics software system NATO Depot Supply System (NDSS) modules, incl: Basic, RDSS, MRCS, PAM and Stock management and acts as the focal point for NDSS database management and coordination with NSPA;
Ø Provides guidance to chemical warehouse personnel on safe operating procedures and storage of hazardous material;
Ø Assists in Mounting Support Centre activities such as labelling and weighing luggage and equipment.
The successful candidate must have following qualifications/attributes:
ü Secondary education and completed higher vocational training in relevant field leading to a professional qualification or accreditation
ü Minimum 5 years working experience in a warehouse
ü Knowledge of memorandum receipt account management
ü Knowledge of stock control
ü Experience monitoring budgets
ü A working knowledge of office equipment repair procedures/techniques and maintenance administration procedures
ü Experience supervising staff amongst various tasks and skill sets
ü Meeting Electrical skills requirements as per NEN 3140 – VOP (Voldoende Onderrricht Personeel)
ü Knowledge of Automated Financial System
ü Good English language skills, both oral and written
ü Good Dutch language skills, both oral and written
Desirable qualifications:
ü Driving license up to 5-ton trucks
ü License to operate material handling equipment including forklifts up to 5 tons
ü Familiar with computers usage and associated software to control stock, create spreadsheets and generate informative reports
ü Familiar with relevant ACO/NATO Directives and procedures
The successful candidate has/is:

Please note that this is a full time Local Wage Rate (LWR) position, 38 working hours per week. This position follows the terms and conditions of the employment contract regulations for Local Staff employed at the Allied Joint Force Command Headquarters Brunssum in accordance with the LWR Regulations.
The gross monthly starting salary is EUR 3146, 26 (subject to taxes); maximum gross monthly salary in this grade is EUR 4342, 67. In addition to the salary there is monthly 8% (of the monthly gross salary) holiday allowance, an additional end of year payment (current amount is a 1 month salary) and participation in a pension plan (currently ABP).
An employee appointed for 38 working hours per week will be entitled to 184 hours holiday per calendar year. The holiday entitlement under will be increased based on the age reached by the Employee during the relevant calendar year.

The selected candidates will be offered a 2-year definite duration contract including a 2 months probationary period. This contract may be followed by a contract of indefinite duration.
