The Opportunity
The job holder is responsible to facilitate integrated programming in joint areas of operation with a focus on cross-learning, downward accountability for smooth and effective management of the project, monitoring integration aspects and producing consolidated narrative reports, and facilitating effective working relationships amongst WASH-RRM project partners, and representing PIE primarily in Zonal, woreda and regional level as per the need at the different coordination forums of the partners and stakeholders meetings, workshops and events as necessary and delegated. In such a way, her/his work directly contributes to the realization of the Plan’s purpose and provides effective and efficient technical guidance and support toward the successful implementation of the UNICEF- Funded WASH RRM project in the Amhara Region as an integral part of the Plan’s emergency response within the framework of Plan Ethiopia’s Country Strategic Plan. The Project Manager is accountable for the overall management, coordinating, and facilitating the WASH RRM project “to provide safe, adequate and quality life-saving WASH assistance for the populations impacted by drought and conflict in Minjar and Bati Woredas.’’ The post holder required will be specifically responsible to facilitate integrated programming in joint areas of operation with a focus on cross-learning, downward accountability, monitoring integration aspects, and producing consolidated narrative reports. S/he will be responsible for leading the implementation of the WASH RRM project in collaboration with the project coordinator at the Zonal level and PIM at the Regional level in the intervention region.
